Janina, born in 1990 in Berlin with German-Kurdish roots, is the founder of STEUERMIEZE® – a brand that proves taxes can be done differently: creatively, humanly, and with a wink.

 

How It All Began ...

Her professional career started in the beauty industry. After completing her training as a beautician, she gained valuable experience working for L’Oréal at KaDeWe – one of Europe’s most renowned luxury department stores. There, she served an international and demanding clientele. That time shaped her standards for service and quality with a clear focus on customer orientation, attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility.

A personal turning point eventually led her down a completely new path – into the world of numbers and regulations. Seeking more substance, flexibility, and opportunities for growth, she decided to make a fresh professional start in her late twenties. Today, Janina is a Tax Specialist, a certified specialist in digitalization and IT processes, and responsible for HR.

 

What Drives Her ..

She firmly believes that meaningful work is more than just professional excellence. Creativity, empathy, and supporting young talent are, for her, inseparable parts of it. She currently mentors several trainees on their career paths – not out of obligation, but with genuine dedication.

Her goal: to create an environment where people can grow. She places particular importance on self-worth, self-leadership, and team harmony. One of her most important values is the ability to see things from multiple perspectives – understanding the connections between people, tasks, and viewpoints. Those who think this way not only act with more confidence but also strengthen collaboration within the team.
